Reiki Healing for Animals
Our pets are so important to us, we love them as we love our family and friends. We instinctively know when our pets aren’t happy or healthy and we will want to give them the love and care that they need to get better and be happy.
Reiki Therapy for your pets mental and physical wellbeing
Just as we have accidents that cause us pain or an injury, so do our pets. Bumps, bruises, muscle strains and sprains. When your dog, cat or other loved pet has an injury then Reiki Therapy can speed up the healing process for them.
Sadly just as we can suffer from stress and anxiety, so too can our beloved animal companions. If you are going through a hard time then your pets will often pick up on your stress and anxiety and feel that too.
Chronic illness and disease can affect all animals and their systems need all the support that you would want if you were suffering from cancer, diabetes or a chrnoic health condition. Reiki will help your pets own body systems to strengthen and support recovery or through the treatment of an illness.
Giving Reiki Therapy to Animals
I usually come to the animals home where they will feel most comfortable.
I will start offering reiki from a distance to allow your pet to accept the healing energy. This gives the animal chance to feel the healing energy and realise what it is before I come any closer to them.
If an animal does not feel comfortable receiving Reiki they will instinctively move away, though this is generally not the case.
Your pet will instinctively knows how much healing they need and will move away when they have had enough.
Your pet will usually be quite sleepy afterwards and will want to rest quietly.
Distant Reiki healing
I also offer distant Reiki healing which is the practice of ‘sending’ healing to a person (or animal) who is not able to attend an appointment. Distant healing is known by other names such as absent healing, Reiki distance healing, remote Reiki healing and many more.

How is distant Reiki healing given?
So that I can give distant Reiki healing I need the name of the person (or animal) and, if possible, a photograph of them. I find that it helps me to have something physical to hold to represent the person I am giving Reiki healing to and so I use a large teddy bear when sending distant healing which helps me to visualise the recipient.
During the distant Reiki healing session I ‘tune’ into the recipient, making the energetic connection and sending the energy to the that specific location.
